This years Golden Globes was fantastic! Confession: I'm usually not a fan of hosts of award shows. Typically, I'm bored with them or cringing at the awkward, edgy jokes. But Tina and Amy killed it! I can not say enough how much I love these two individually, but as a team they are flawless. Then, when Kristin Wiig and Will Ferrell were presenting? I. Was. Dying. "Yooou get out!".
Alright, alright. Enough of my praise for the comedy. Let's move on to the fashion! I was really impressed with a lot of gowns. Here are some of my favorites. All photos were taken from Style.com.
Jennifer Lawrence - Dior Haute Couture
I really loved the color of this dress, but I particularly liked the way it hugs her hips and then flares out. It's a very interesting cut that I haven't seen before.
Kerry Washington - Miu Miu
Kerry Washington has been taking a lot of fashion risks lately. Some hits, some misses, but regardless I admire her for it. This was definitely a hit. It's so elegant and shimmering while still being edgy. Kerry is my new style crush.
Emily Blunt - Michael Kors
The color of this dress is so subtle. The combination with lace is so eye catching and lovely. Also, John Krasinski on your arm does not hurt the look.
Thandie Newton - Giles
I didn't see Thandie in this lovely frock at first glance of the dresses but I'm so glad I didn't miss it. The lavender is beautiful, the cut is beautiful. The whole thing reminds me of spring which just makes me so happy!
Michelle Dockery - Alexandre Vauthier
Gold and white is one of my favorite combinations. It's simple yet flashy. Perfect for a fancy event! This cut is amazing as well. Big fan.
What did everyone else think? Did you love Tina and Amy as much as I did? What was your favorite part? What was your favorite dress?
